ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cici is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary visual artist. Her work blends storytelling with unique forms, all of which are poetic celebrations of memories, time, and one’s metamorphosis. Her artistic journey began in 2017, commemorating a life-changing experience on the Lycian coast in Türkiye.
Primarily an oil painter, Cici also works with watercolor and encaustic mediums. Her current focus is on portrait painting, capturing the essence of her subjects with intricacy and emotion. In addition to her personal projects, she assists world-renowned iconographer Fadi Mikhail with his North American mural projects.
As an emerging filmmaker, Cici has written, directed, edited, and acted in a dozen short films, exploring multiple genres - including documentaries, fiction, and experimental filmmaking.
